A Closer Look for Early Detection of Breast Cancer

Asheville Breast Center offers the very best in diagnostic and early detection tools to help win the battle against breast cancer. That’s why we now offer Breast MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in addition to mammography for the women who need it.

Breast MRI provides exceptionally sensitive image quality. While not for everyone, Breast MRI can make all the difference for women with a high risk of breast cancer. To determine your lifetime risk of breast cancer, go to www.cancer.gov/bcrisktool and answer the questions. If your lifetime risk is greater than 20%, the American Cancer Society has recommended that you be screened for breast cancer with a yearly mammogram and a yearly Breast MRI. We encourage you to talk to your physician for more information.
